The Great Commission Team is repeating its “Spread the Warmth” blanket drive that was so successful last winter. The beneficiaries this time again include the “Under the Overpass” ministry (now called “CORE”), but also includes other local ministries providing food and blankets to needy families and individuals.  The drive is earlier this year in order to be ready for the cold weather period ahead.
Church members and attendees are being asked to contribute new or used blankets or to donate money that will be used to purchase blankets. Contributed blankets should be warm and large enough to cover an adult. It is important that any used blankets  be clean, but it is ok if they show wear or if they are slightly blemished or torn.
Please plan to make your blanket contribution at the Church office on either October 19, 20, or 21 between  10 AM & 2 PM. These are times when volunteers will be in the office to receive your donations. Cash contributions can be made anytime before October 31. You can make them online using Zelle or by sending a check to the Church that is made out to “FPCC.” In both cases please be sure to indicate on the comment line “Blankets.”
